Helpless Heart - where would you look

Listen to
Helpless Heart  on Jango Radio

Vocalist:                  Talisha Ohanessian

Baritone Recorder:   Ryan Williams

Double Bass:           Don Gula

Guitar:                   George Condos

Verse 1

Where would you look?

If you were to find me

With your eyes open wide

I’ll skip from your side

So you chase

Me in the first light

To the blue of the sky

With the eyes of a spy

Chorus

But your world unravels

Like the thread in your jeans

(As) I sink beneath the flowers

And laugh at your foolish dream

(And) you pout like a schoolboy

Lost in your part

So rescue my virtue my love

Rescue my blue blue helpless heart

Verse 2

Where would you look?

If you were to find me

At the crest of a wav

Or the depths of a cave

So you Chase

Me in the day bright

Every voice in a crowd

Every drop in a cloud

MIDDLE

I have a love

It is bound in steel and honey

I have a love

It is bound in every picture of you

Verse 3

So you chase

Me in the faded night

To the crest of the moon

To each note in a tune

Finale

I live a fool but I am wise with your love

In love with your love

Look no further than my heart

Look no further than my heart

NInez (The Song)

Coming soon - the vocal version of Ninez

Verse 1

Querido amor

Dragon flies, dreams

And a rocking horse

A gentle hand that softly held yours

Through the gardens and lanes of your home

A heart that binds them all

Verse 2

Querido amor

The day you left

They all loved you more

And everyday (they) held open the door

Two people two houses and (more)

You are the heart that binds (holds) them all

Verse 3

Querido amor

Where is forever

To the child in us all

A laugh our friends the bounce of a ball

A birthday cake and standing so tall

A heart that binds them all

Chorus

All of the love

That history life and art knows

Is hidden deep in the wind that within

And without us flows

Holding and writing the name of

All of those who have loved

And in your (art)

The heart that binds them all

And all the While

Coming in soon - one of the few ballads I have written

The song works with a prominent second voice in this case a female backing trio - it takes a school ground rhyme - though the song is not whimsical.

VERSE PART A

I had a friend

She was my love

Said I wasn’t good, enough

She’s cosmic ice

Drainded me

Like a pack of smokes

Said you make me sick, make me, choke

One sellout vibe

She let me drift

Let me loose

Nowhere rides on a subway, recluse

I’m Outa sight

A poor white man

On a wild new beat

On the shores of love

Where flirtin’s, cheap

Soul groove night

CHORUS 1

Here on

Earth, Venus

And Mars

      (Mars  Lisa and Jasper sitting on a tree K I  S S I N G)

We are

Earth, Venus

And Mars

(Mars – first comes love then comes marriage then comes baby in the baby carriage)

VERSE PART B

And all the while

She held my hand

And with each brush

A new, demand

Layin a trip

I chained myself

To her once more

She touched my face

A new civil, war

Electro hip

CHORUS 2

Here on

Earth, Venus

And Mars

(Mars  suckin his thumb, wettin his pants, doin the hoochie coochie dance

We are

Earth, Venus

And Mars

(Mars  suckin his thumb, wettin his pants, doin the hoochie coochie dance

VERSE PART C

A poor white man

On a wild new beat

On the shores of love

Where flirtin’s, cheap

Soul groove night

And all the while

She held my hand

And with each brush

A new, demand

Do your thing
